Our Story
The story of U.S. Film Crew began with a simple vision and a small family business.
In 1992, founder Glenn Yocca and his brother started Yocca Brother’s Spit Shine, a Pittsburgh-local automotive window tint operation. Before long, however, Glenn’s innate spirit of innovation began to drive the business to new heights.
Glenn saw vast potential for his business beyond automotive tint in flat glass. So, after a strategic rebranding as Sun Solutions, the company dove headlong into a diverse array of clients and exciting new projects. Glenn quickly identified a broad need in the window film industry: installation resources.
To support other dealers, he began offering professional window film installation services to other window film companies in the industry. This model allowed him to capture broad experience on large-scale projects at a fast rate across markets nationwide. He honed his craft and developed trade secrets to installing window film at the highest quality.
As Glenn saw his method start to take hold, he began to feel his company deserved another name — one that truly spoke to the services it offered. That’s when U.S. Film Crew was born. Under this new title, Glenn’s team extended installation solutions and resources to window film dealers nationwide, earning participation in large-scale projects and a reputation that spanned the entire country.
Now, after two decades of operation almost exclusively beyond the borders of its hometown, U.S. Film Crew brings its big-league experience back to the city of Pittsburgh, providing the same exceptional quality to those who need it on a local level. After all these years, we are still family owned, locally operated, and driven by our founder’s enthusiasm for progress.
