Washington, D.C. | Solar Window Film Exterior | 22,500 sq ft | Security Window Film Interior | Lift and Scaffolding Operation
Our initial reaction to being asked to install the window film on the U.S. Institute of Peace HQ in Washington D.C. was one of awe! The building’s architecture and design was amazing and inspiring (and we have seen a lot of buildings). It’s location at the Northwest corner of the National Mall is symbolic: situated near this country’s most iconic memorials to Americans’ service. The project was in two parts, 1) to shield the interior furniture, carpets, UV rays, heat gain and improve the overall comfort of the things and people inside the building, 2) to protect the safety and security of any thing or any person inside the building. Using multiple lifts and cranes we were able to install a solar film on the exterior which would meet all of their comfort needs. To protect the floor, 100 foot high scaffolding was built on the inside, to install the latest safety film technology. We were honored to participate in such a project and value the incredible work the USIP does every day to promote peace and safety in the United States.
