dust off the old rubik's cube
Problem solving with a strategic plan is the difference between a color-coded completed Rubik’s cube and a dusty one sitting on the shelf with only two sides complete. U.S. Film Crew accepted a project to install and remove 500,000 square feet of window film in a major metropolitan area in New England. The job encompassed 5 large buildings and numerous barriers. “This project exemplifies our commitment to a strategic plan, understanding of the product, and the expertise needed to complete the installation,” professed USFC president Glenn Yocca.

U.S. Film Crew was excited, but complex barriers meant meticulous project management. These barriers included a 10-inch clearance between air conditioning units and windows in many areas. This confined amount of room to work meant minimal room for error. Adding to the complexity, two of the five buildings required full film removal before the installation process could begin. All of these factors provided a unique opportunity for U.S. Film Crew to demonstrate its high-end project management, which would include a detailed timely plan to address each stage of the removal and installation.

The project was initially slated for completion in 18 months. The building manager had arranged for technology crews to begin removing computers and desks away from the installation area and methodically putting them back after the installation was complete. The cost of this major institution to not install the window film is very high, consequently the time lost on employee productivity per office also needed to be limited. Because although not finishing the Rubik’s cube doesn’t harm you, completing it only adds to your benefit and speaks to your capabilities.

A strategically experienced-based plan was created and the proper film, crew and timelines were set. The project called for a 2-sided mechanical attachment security film and USFC is the leader in this area. The completed job exceeded all expectations; finishing well before the deadlines saving money both in the short run and over the long sighted view of the future. That is the ultimate benefit of this industry and choosing U.S. Film Crew: short term savings and long term stability.

'redo' done right
Installing solar film and security film are not one in the same. We came upon a project for a mental health facility on the East Coast weeks after it had been completed. Completed but certainly not successful; the film was peeling, bubbling up and the entire installation was unacceptable to ensure safety. Thousands of dollars had been lost, litigation had to be activated and the safety and security needs of the facility still hadn’t been met.

U.S. Film Crew had been hired to “redo” the job and transform the debacle into a successful job well done. I listened to the anxious facility manager’s concerns and assured him of our expertise, efficiency and excellence. “Consider it done”, I told him and set out to prove it.

In just a matter of days, my crew stripped the newly installed but fledgingly attached film and installed the proper film with the appropriate techniques. We specialize in security film installation and knew to use a 15-mil application plus reinforcing the film into the window frames using a specialized mechanical attachment system.

It was important to complete this job efficiently, effectively and with the dependable excellence we are known for. Upon completion, I could see the look of relief and satisfaction in the facility manager’s face as he realized that the safety and security needs of the building were in place. He thanked us and I thanked him for considering U.S. Film Crew.

on the outside looking in
A local diamond wholesaler sitting in his shop surrounded by windows started imaging the worst; a perpetrator smashing through the glass and grabbing a bagful of what ever he could get his hands on. After going outside and looking in, he decided to proactively research a way to protect his assets. He read the best way to prevent a “smash and grab” heist was to incorporate window film into his glass. As he called around local window film companies, a noticeable uneasiness grew inside. There were lots of suggestions but one would protect the jewelry but had little light emulsion. The other would allow light to show off his product but would not protect it. One recommendation he conjectured would make it even easier to break in to his shop!

Finally the local diamond wholesaler found U.S. Film Crew. Their national experience and hometown location and quality quick attracted him. “If these guys can install security film in our nation’s capital, then I trust them with my shop.” President Glenn Yocca recommended a installation and film which would be effective against break-ins, glass smashing and allow for the correct light emulsion. In addition, Glenn incorporated an attachment system which would enhance all the benefits and secure the product even further. The wholesaler was pleased at the time taken and the professional knowledge given, making his decision much easier.

The difference is that U.S. Film Crew quickly assessed all aspects of the wholesaler’s store and incorporated their expertise into the installation. This provides the best security for the situation. An anti-intrusion plan was made and the installation was a success. Shop, product and a tradition secured.
